1. The particulars of its organization, functions and duties:

2. The powers and duties of its officers and employees:
Chairman – Chairman is the over all in charge of the Railway Recruitment Board. The various stages of recruitment process are governed/controlled under the control and guidance of the Chairman. It also includes various exam related confidential work; Coordinating with Railway Board, other RRBs, Zonal Railway, Railway Divisions and other offices in connection with various recruitment and other related issues.
Assistant Secretary/Deputy Secretary – Arranging infrastructure, manpower etc for the execution of various type of examinations are done in consultation with Chairman. The Administration of RRB office including staff matter is executed under him.
Ministerial staff – In addition to the day to day activities of an office, the services of staff are also utilized for the execution of various exam related work.
3. The procedure followed in the decision making process including channels of supervision and accountability:
Organization structure of Railway Recruitment Board is as given below-:
- Ministry Of Railways (Railway Board)
- Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB)
- Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)
Formulation of Policies and decision making are done at Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) level. These are implemented through RRCB. RRBs are accountable to RRCB and supervised by them.
4. The norms set by it for the discharge of its functions:
This RRB is discharging the duties based on the rules, regulations and procedures set by Railway Board as well as clauses in RRB Manual.
5. The rules, regulations, instructions, manuals and records, held by it or under its control or used by its employees for discharging its functions:
The details regarding rules and regulation direction etc are contained in RRB Manual, Indian Railway Establishment Manual and orders/Circulars issued by Railway Board from time to time which are published in the website www.indianrailways.gov.in
6. A statement of the categories of documents that are held by it or under its control:
Our office deals with recruitment of candidates as per the requirements of Zonal Railway. Hence the document regarding Indents placed by the Zonal Railway, details of candidates applied, appeared for exams, selected, rejected etc are in the custody of this office. Document of rules, policies, procedures, financial accounts, staff details etc also are in the custody of this office. Documents are preserved up to the period as specified by Manual and policies.
7. Prompt & timely dissemination of information to candidates:
(a) SMS/Email alerts are sent to the candidates for every stage of recruitment. They are, thus, fully assured and aware of the status of their applications, further stages of recruitment, schedules of tests & results thereof.
(b) Candidates can download their Admit Card/Call Letter/Hall Ticket through authorized portal/websites before 04 days of CBT/Skill Test/AptitudeTest/Document Verification etc.
(c) After Computer Based Tests (CBTs), candidates are given the opportunity to log in through the link provided in the RRB website and see their Question paper and Answer Booklets along with correct Answer Keys etc. They are also given an opportunity to raise objection, if any, regarding correctness of question, etc. Based on the objections raised, if any modifications is carried out, the same is also informed to all the candidates by providing a link in the RRB website for this purpose. However, third party information like other candidates particulars including marks are not given.
(d) All notifications, obtained marks, cut off marks, results for document verification and final results with roll numbers of all short listed candidates etc are uploaded on the website immediately on issue for the information of public.
8. Particulars of recipients of concessions, permits or authorizations granted by it:
In the matter of recruitment, the concessions in age/standard of passing examinations are allowed as per the Government policy. These are published in the Centralised Employment Notifications (CENs) and are available in the RRB website.
